Shelley has been working in the area of personal and management development for the past 10 years. She has worked in a variety of industries and sizes of organisation, including banking, travel, insurance, telecoms, transport and FMCGs. Shelley has also delivered training programmes in Europe, Asia, America and New Zealand, thus demonstrating a sensitivity to cultural diversity. Shelley is experienced in both design and delivery of a wide variety of programmes that deal with the development of communication skills and management practices. She has been involved in a wide variety of learning and development projects including, establishing company induction programmes, undertaking extensive needs analysis, introducing new performance management systems, upskilling of underperforming teams, facilitating conflict, and mentoring new L& D professionals. She also has a high degree of credibility as a personal coach having worked individually across organisations with first time employees to CEOs. Shelley has worked in house as a training consultant providing Learning and Development expertise to a variety of functions within large organisations. This involved in depth understanding of how businesses operate in order to achieve better performance results and improved processes. As an independent training consultant Shelley has been able to apply her skills in smaller organisations where greater change is possible and results can be more easily measured. In her personal life Shelley is also the chairperson of the Board of Trustees of a large North Shore primary school. In this role she has to manage a board of parent trustees, the principal and a staff trustee. Shelley is responsible for analysing performance data, liaising with the community and ERO, representing the school to the media, exit interviews and delivering the principals performance appraisals. Shelley qualified as a New Zealand trained teacher in 1987. |
