Personal Planning & Time Management

Rationale:

It is essential to know how to utilise our time effectively to stay competitive within a performance environment or industry. Knowing how to plan and utilise our time will impact on how we use our knowledge, talents and abilities to optimum effect. One of the key factors related to "negatively stressed" or "poor performance" is the lack of planning and productive use of our time.

This course is not a standard time management program that just looks at the various time management tools that can be used. It looks at ways that we can change our attitude towards the utilisation of time. It assists participants in developing disciplines and skills that will enable them to get more out of their busy day.

Anyone who would like to manage their time better and feel more confident and less stressed in achieving the demands of the position. This course is really targeted at any level of staffing and is designed to be fun and informative.

 

What are the Key Learning Outcomes?
This course identifies common time management problems and how to implement competencies that will enable participants to utilise their time more effectively. It covers the efficient application of workplace activities and how to be more self-managed through personal planning. Participants are given the opportunity to identify their personal workplace temperament and how to select time utilisation tools and systems best suited to their temperament. Participants will also learn how to establish balance and deal with pressure.

This module looks at the common time management problems that occur within the work place and establishes how to prevent and overcome these problems. It provides a wide range of solutions and assists each participant in finding solutions most appropriate for them and their particular workplace.
