Rationale:
Often when we hear the word "Coaching" we have a tendency to draw similarities
to the sports arena. In reality, there are significant differences between coaching the
local or professional sports team to coaching within a business environment, although there
is a common thread of improving individual and team performance. The ability to develop
individual and team performance is an essential skill required by everyone within the team.
Individuals, who are coached well, are generally far more confident and proactive in achieving
optimum performance.
This workshop is designed to develop very specific workplace related coaching and mentoring
skills that will enable the participants to achieve optimum results from their colleagues
and team.
Who Will Benefit?
Anyone who is presently in a leadership role and has not had any formal training on how
to coach effectively or needs to re-focus and build on previous training. Those who are
moving into leadership will also benefit from this course. Many organisations see every
member of their team as potential leaders and would ensure that each person has good coaching
skills.
What are the Key Learning Outcomes?
Participants will learn the difference between coaching and mentoring and how and when
to implement these essential tools of leadership and management. Participants develop
the confidence to implement an effective delegation process that will improve the work
output and performance of others.
