Workplace Communication

Rationale:

As we study the subject of communication we learn that communication is much more than speaking and listening. Communication is about sharing understanding, helping others to understand us and making sure we understand them. Within our work, social and family environment communication plays a vital part in helping us to establish healthy and positive relationships and expectations. Due to the increasing pressures placed upon everyone within the workplace it is becoming more and more crucial that each member of the team communicates effectively.

During this workshop we will cover how to communicate successfully within a team environment, understanding communication blocks, dealing with conflict and difficult people and effectively expressing our opinions and needs in an assertive and positive manner.

 

Who Will Benefit?
Anyone who is keen to improve their communication skills within a team environment. People attending can range from Team Leaders, Managers, Production Personnel, Administration, Sales and Marketing Personnel, Receptionists to Frontline Personnel

 

What are the Key Learning Outcomes?
Participants will gain an understanding of the communication process and how to become effective communicators within the workplace. During this course participants will be given the opportunity to identify common communication blocks that can make it difficult to communicate and learn how to prevent or overcome these blocks. Participants will also learn how to communicate effectively with different personality and behavioural styles.
